Bio

I’m an editor cutting anywhere from the middle of nowhere.

Brandon Roten (ROW-ten) is based in a small town in Mississippi. While major cities like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago are celebrated for their vibrant creative communities, Brandon’s work, though diverse, is shaped by a distinctly rural Southern perspective. It’s this vantage point that has led his work to be described as insightful, motivated and full of humanity. These are the between-the-lines details it takes to edit stories from Mississippi for directors coast to coast and for brands like FedEx, Under Armour, Gatorade, Hasbro, Princess Cruises and Cracker Barrel.

Time may move slower in the south, but great work requires the same effort no matter where it originates. Brandon’s perseverance, curiosity and candidness is what sets him and his work apart in an industry full of options for masterful storytellers.

When he’s not using his right brain in the cutting room, Brandon can be found using his left brain to help create a balance in his life. From rebuilding antique motorcycle engines to training his English Lab, Willow, there’s always a puzzle that need to be solved.
