For the past 15 years I've been editing stories seen everywhere from television and the web to film festivals, boardrooms and jumbotrons. I've cut on five different systems including Avid, Adobe Premiere and Final Cut. I regularly work with high-end, global brands like FedEx and Gatorade, and I get the most joy as an editor when I work with brands willing to take risk through creative visual storytelling. Awards and trophies don't interest me. My reputation as an editor who takes an idea to the next level while keeping my client in full control of their project is what matters most.
My work is only a small part of what makes me who I am. I enjoy traveling and landscape photography, neither of which I get to do as often as I would like. But, what has truly shaped me is the cancer diagnosis my 4 year old daughter, Ava, received in 2012. It gave me a new perspective on life, and it stirred in me a new passion. Part of that passion is to raise the awareness of pediatric brain tumors. (hence the Brain Sail name) To date, my daughters name has helped raise about $220k for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She is now 10, and if it weren't for St. Jude she wouldn't be here. So, please take time to make a tax deductible donation to St. Jude and help save the next generation of editors, creatives and storytellers.
